Labor Day

Labor Day is celebrated in different ways worldwide, but one common theme is the recognition and appreciation of the contributions made by workers in various industries, including agriculture. In recent years, there has been an increased focus on sustainability and the role of agriculture in promoting a sustainable future.
Celebrating the contributions of sustainable farmers: Labor Day provides an opportunity to recognise the hard work of farmers who prioritise sustainable practices in their agricultural production. Sustainable farmers use techniques that minimise their environmental impact, such as reducing chemical inputs, conserving water, and promoting soil health.
Promoting fair labor practices in agriculture: Labor Day also serves as a reminder to promote fair labor practices. This includes ensuring that agricultural workers are paid fairly, provided safe working conditions, and given access to health care and other benefits.
Encouraging local and seasonal eating: Another way to promote sustainability in agriculture is to encourage local and seasonal eating. This can help reduce the carbon footprint of transporting food long distances and support local farmers who use sustainable practices.
Supporting agricultural research and innovation: Labor Day can also be a time to recognise the importance of agricultural research and innovation in promoting sustainable practices. Investments in research can lead to new technologies and practices that reduce the environmental impact of agriculture while improving yields and farmer livelihoods.
Overall, Labor Day can serve as an important reminder of the crucial role that agriculture and its workers play in building a more sustainable future.
The World Day for Safety and Health at Work

World Safety and Health at Work Day is celebrated on April 28th every year to promote safe, healthy, and decent work worldwide. The day highlights the importance of ensuring the safety and health of workers and their workplaces, raising awareness of preventable occupational accidents and diseases that occur globally.
The celebration of this day is essential because ensuring safety and health at work is crucial to the well-being and productivity of workers, their families, and their communities. Unsafe work environments can lead to injuries, illnesses, and even death, causing physical, emotional, and financial harm to workers and their loved ones. Therefore, the day serves as a reminder to employers, workers, and governments to prevent workplace accidents and illnesses and promote healthy work environments.
By promoting safety and health at work, we can create a more sustainable and productive world that benefits not only workers but also businesses and society.
New Video Testimonial – Jake Rothert – Florida, US
We recently met Jake Rothert from Rothert Farms in Florida. He is an example of a customer that uses biorational products (organics/biologics).
This type of product is expensive and has lower toxicity, so you need a much higher dose transfer for the kill, which he has improved with MagrowTec. He is also using less conventional chemistry and reduced the spray events.
We have more and more growers using these products, especially as some conventional are getting banned.
So whether you use a tractor boom, greenhouse, backpack, air blast sprayer etc., or Bayer, BASF, Syngenta product, or Insecticide, Fungicide or Herbicide or use a John Deere, CASENH or AGCO etc or conventional chemistry, biologic, bio-stimulant or organic products, MagrowTec makes better solutions or solutions better.
